CBA Schedule & Format

The basketball season in China typically runs from the middle of October until early April. Teams currently play 42 games during the regular season with 12 of the 20 teams qualifying for the playoffs. The top four teams advance directly to the quarterfinals. Both the first round and quarterfinals of the playoffs are a best-of-3 series. The semifinals is a best-of-5 series and the finals is a best-of-7 series.
